If we're taking a cue from the late experimental composer JOANNA BROUK, who noted how artists can speak volumes with sound rather than words, then maybe MILEY CYRUS didn't need to say anything in her BILLBOARD interview about distancing herself from HIP-HOP (which sparked a chorus of outrage). All she had to do is release a track that doesn't open with a whisper of MIKE WILL MADE-IT and people would get it. And she wouldn't have to waste her INSTAGRAM time responding to the backlash. For all that the pop world loves a little sensationalism and the occasional viral news story, it also loves a good makeover. Artists are on journeys and pop fans are prepared to follow them. Whether it's MADONNA turning from Christianity to Kaballah, COMMON morphing rapper to actor, or Miley moving from pop anthems to hip-hop bangers to rock ballads, it's their trip and we as spectators can get on or off that train whenever we want... Got straight A's and a high tuition? NICKI MINAJ has got your back... The massive influence and many collaborations of TEDDY RILEY... How GRIME lives on in a new generation... Is that a DORITOS bag or a WALKMAN?... RIP JOANNA BROUK and C'EL REVUELTA.
