How exactly do we come to universally hate a band? The OBSERVER's SAGE LAZZARO sets out to investigate the roots of the world's anti-NICKELBACK obsession, and settles on a few key anti-moments: the band's initial signing with a metal label, ROADRUNNER, whose core audience was not inclined to be welcoming; a BRIAN POSEHN joke that went viral when COMEDY CENTRAL turned it into a promo; and the song "ROCKSTAR," which was meant to be ironic but you know how that goes.
