JOHN OLIVER is the greatest single thing on television... The global crisis that worries me the most? Education. It's a growing shame in the UNITED STATES. It's political and lobbies are all over it. Children suffer and thus our future suffers. In a brief glance at the BREXIT decision breakdown, a large chasm is clear in relation to differing education. Many voters not even knowing what they voted for. But we see politicians fight over the legitimacy of charter schools with no better solutions or compromises. Again, children suffer... BREXIT divisions are also over economic lines. Haves and have nots. This story is as old as any story. So while we can all freak out (or not) over the vote. What of the legitimate ideas behind voter frustration? Managed immigration balanced against what the country can handle? Economic disparity? The loss of national identity and customs? I'm not talking about the gross perversions of this idea but more about the importance of localization in a world of globalization. All legitimate concerns and yet the narrative is hijacked by extremists. I'm a novice but I'm starting to ask the questions and seek the answers. Lastly, while I finished the season finale of FX's spy drama, THE AMERICANS, I wondered about the role of foreign governments and their clandestine organizations in the political and social upheaval in the U.S. and U.K. We do it, I'm sure they do... I'm business angry today. I have to listen to sounds of ocean waves... This narrative was on the news yesterday: White people are under attack in America. That's awesome comedy right there...
