Slightly late publish this morning. My niece fell asleep on me on the couch and it was contagious... I put together some highlights from yesterday's VIACOM conference call. It was a softball snoozefest. I skipped meditating because DAUMAN's voice calms me. Oh, and by the way, many journalists over the last few weeks have mentioned to me that Viacom is suggesting I write these critiques of their leadership because ADVANCIT CAPITAL (where SHARI REDSTONE is a partner) invested in REDEF. It's very typical given this regime craps all over talent and execs that leave without fail. They blame and take no responsibility. I've mentioned here many times the fact that they invested. I'm proud of it. They have good taste! I'll state here for posterity: there is no connection. And if I were to sell-out? I hope my days at MTV NETWORKS at the negotiation table would have taught me to hold out for more money :- ). That said, as you know, I had heart surgery last year and have been exercising and dieting each day. Lost 60 lbs. So I'm really, really, really, really hungry. I haven't had red meat in a year. So I'm jonesing to eat a corporate communications stooge with a nice bottle of SASSICAIA. But my heart is more important. That said, I'm a big boy, albeit a smaller big boy, and I can take it but I don't stand down for anyone... Talent agents, FTW... This thought leadership video made me laugh. Must watch... We're talking about unlocking cable set-top boxes in 2016 when it should have been done a decade ago. The box should be obsolete. Mobile first. Just IP-delivered apps. Like NETFLIX, AMAZON and HULU... Been screening ESPN's O.J.: MADE IN AMERICA. It really is that good. Thank you to CONNOR SCHELL and team...
