I've watched YAHOO for many years. Some with admiration, some with envy and some with my head shaking from disbelief. The tragedy is simple. Wanting to be something other than it can successfully be. Or not being sure. It suffers from tech envy and a huge developer chip on its shoulder. I'd like to be in the NBA. That's not happening but I can curate circles around LEBRON JAMES. They've lost multiple opportunities to redefine themselves and kill it in media. They failed due to ego and pride. Being tops in media doesn't mean not being technology focused. Who said it was either or? They could have been "IT" in media. Most of what they've done in that area since 2007 has been for press releases and short term madison avenue hype. They gave up number 1 status in almost every category. Back in the day they ruled news, finance, sports, music, movies and more. They just cast most of those adrift. It's a shame and all the while GOOGLE lapped them in tech and now in media. That said, I still use my YAHOO MAIL each day and somewhere I still hope they figure it out... Watching the waste of time and choreographed tongue lashing of the BENGHAZI SPECIAL COMMITTEE made me want to puke. Everything that's wrong with our 2 party system. What half witted person with any sense could listen to these crafted fake theatrics by those sitting up high and take government seriously anymore?... Had a great time visiting pal TROY CARTER (a REDEF investor) and spending time with the cool new companies incubating at SMASHD LABS. When I grow up I want an office like TROY's. Better room than any BOND villain ever... Happy Birthday to NIKKE SLIGHT and MARC RUXIN.
