Been pushing myself to go out more this week to fight the post surgery blues. Last night I ended up at my high school pal JEFF KLEIN's SUNSET TOWER HOTEL, home of THE TOWER BAR. Thanks to my friends JONATHAN BRANDSTEIN and SAAD MOHSENI for dragging me out. In LA that place is like a great camp reunion with the party MC'd by the best Maître d' in the world, DIMITRI DIMITROV. Got to catch up and hug so many friends I haven't seen in a while or at least since things went south. Felt good. Dinner discussion? Travel: I want to go to PARIS to see U2 for their HBO special. Books: Jonathan recommends CHILDREN OF MONSTERS: AN INQUIRY INTO THE SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF DICTATORS. Media and politics: Saad talked about the TALIBAN threats on his AFGHAN media empire... I think I tweet too much to be on the TWITTER board... I always read PLAYBOY for the pictures... If NETFLIX traded on engagement, their stock would have traded up 50% just based on me...
