Internet to the rescue. Other than several street style roundups and listicles, coverage of SEOUL FASHION WEEK (March 27 to April 1) has been scarce. Same goes for TOKYO FASHION WEEK, which took place March 20 to March 25. Happily, there's this thing called the computer. The official website for Seoul Fashion Week has runway video from every designer on the official schedule. As for Tokyo Fashion Week, photos are posted from every show on the AMAZON-branded official website, but it appears runway video has been taken down. Arguably, both Seoul and Tokyo fashion weeks are less established, and a common critique of designers showing in both cities is "why aren't you showing in Paris?" Kidding, but there's some truth to that. Not to mention quite a few editors are suffering month-long hangovers from fashion month, and to fly further east afterward could put one's concept of time in serious peril. Let's just schedule fashion weeks so that people fly east from NYC continually until they're back—in NYC. Nevertheless, would be great to see more in-depth coverage from international fashion weeks. It could help these local "weeks" flourish in ways a street style slideshow can't. This KOREA TIMES article on Seoul Fashion Week offers some constructive criticism from executive director JUNG KU-HO, and this piece covered the consumer-facing side of Seoul's fashion festivities. As for Tokyo, a couple articles from JAPAN TIMES featured menswear and womenswear designers. Closing note: tell me more about YUKIHERO PRO-WRESTLING, because I am intrigued here. Nice play on words from founder YUKIHIRO, too... Algo-pricing can be hilariously efficient, or inefficient, depending on one's perspective. RECODE published this piece on AMAZON and WAL-MART's "war" to get to the lowest price. It's just guaranteed to never be free. Has anyone else ever purchased something for one cent on Amazon?...
