Pointing to that new "Shining Star" up in heaven, RIP MAURICE WHITE of EARTH, WIND & FIRE... After doing the wrong thing (the wrongest, TBH) PHIL ANSELMO has offered to quit his band, DOWN, just days after people lost their minds over footage of him throwing up a Nazi salute and doing a “white power” chant at a show last month. He apologized (again) with all his “crushed, yet, guilty heart," took “full responsibility”… and then called his biggest obstacle “the over-indulging in the booze.” Nope… DAVID BOWIE’S “Starman” is in a Super Bowl ad for AUDI about a retired astronaut who regains his mojo thanks to an R8 V10 Plus. Too soon… FUTURE is on a torrid pace that should give everyone pause. His new album, “EVOL,” drops Saturday, just two weeks after his “PURPLE REIGN” mixtape. He’s also rubbing it in by sneaking out the heavy-lidded “REIGN” outtake “In Abundance.” Someone gets the new music economy… The HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES (ALICE COOPER, JOHNNY DEPP, JOE PERRY) will honor MOTÖRHEAD’S LEMMY KILMISTER at the Grammys. They’re playing an outtake from their album and maybe, maybe “ACE OF SPADES.” Um, maybe?… J DILLA eternal… “Awesome” is a word we use too often. But in reference to this "120 Minutes" archive dead on the nose… Peep the hidden link between Deadhead noodle dancing and candy raving… KANYE might be changing his album title, again. Perhaps we can suggest one based on this interview? “THREE POOLS"… Disgraced SFX boss BOB SILLERMAN has 60 days to leave the building. Talk about waiting for “the drop.” Oof… The 2016 “Dog Bites Man” headline equivalent is “WIZ KHALIFA is Now Selling Weed” … TAYLOR SWIFT is developing a mobile game with the same people who brought you “KIM KARDASHIAN: HOLLYWOOD.” Remember that kid in high school who was just kind of great at everything? Leave the rest of us a crumb, will ya?
