Cardi B was in the middle of her headlining set at Rolling Loud in Los Angeles on Saturday night (Dec. 15) when her estranged husband, Offset, tried to win her back with a dramatic gesture in front of the entire festival — and failed.
Hours after Offset posted an extremely public apology in a pleading video to his Instagram, the Migos rapper showed up at Rolling Loud — where he was met with a chant of “CARDI TAKE OFFSET BACK” the night before — with a lavish floral arrangement that spelled out TAKE ME BACK, CARDI.
He strolled out holding a bouquet of white roses, and the cringe-worthy display of affection only went further south from there: Cardi, caught by surprise and uncomfortable, exchanges a few brief words with him in private, as the production crew clearly picked up on the tension and cut Offset’s mic before the crowd could hear him.

After it was clear that Offset wasn’t going to be getting the spotlit reconciliation he’d hoped for, the crew dimmed the lights so that he and his flowers could be quietly removed from her stage. (Billboard has reached out to Rolling Loud for comment.)
Cardi B announced that she and Offset were splitting up in early December following cheating allegations. Offset has since expressed his dismay over the situation on Twitter and Instagram, and Cardi made a point to address her fans after the Rolling Loud incident. She stressed that making him feel worse by piling on him online is unacceptable: “Violating my baby father is not going to make me feel any better, because at the end of the day, that’s still family.”
“God could bring me the most perfect and glamorous and fabulous man,” she said in a later post. “That perfect, glamorous, fabulous, perfect man is not going to love my child the same way her father loves my child. So I don’t like that bulls–t. I know how painful it is when you have millions of people bashing you every single day. I don’t like that. And it doesn’t make me feel any better. Period.”
